Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two close friends.”
