Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
