Eulogies Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, commenting that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

After the tragedy, public figures shared varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan characterized the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an aide could have intervened when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
